Plus, there are Salesforce campaigns, Pardot campaigns, email campaigns, social campaigns…the list goes on. For example, if the Pardot tracking code is present on your website, you can use it to automatically set all of your website visitors to the Website Tracking campaign which comes ready-made in your account.
You can also set campaigns when prospects complete forms, visit landing pages, or you can set them manually. Prospects have a one-to-one relationship with Pardot campaigns, meaning that prospects can only belong to one campaign at a time. Additionally, prospects must always be associated with a Pardot campaign.
Pardot lists resemble the more traditional or CRM definition of a marketing campaign. Leung is creating a series of pay-per-click ads and wants to record the initial marketing campaign a first-time visitor interacts with. Answer: Leung uses a Pardot campaign. She selects a campaign for each custom redirect and either uses a different campaign for each redirect, or uses several campaigns across many redirects.
If a new visitor comes to the website by clicking the custom redirect link, they are associated with the campaign selected for the redirect. Need help? Currently we have tons of fields mapped from Pardot to Salesforce Lead object but would rather just have a link where the sales person can just click to get the stats on that lead by viewing them in Pardot. The Lead aka Prospect originates in Pardot and routes to Salesforce Lead object based on score and grade.
So it's not a field to be transferred as in a web-to-lead. So the name field in the Lead object would be a look up that when clicked on will bring the user to Pardot info. I don't think there's a way to force the name to be a link back to the Pardot record, but I could be wrong.
You might have to check perms on that Pardot URL field to make sure it's visible and added to the appropriate page layouts. Let me know if that's what you're looking for assuming you haven't already figured this out 11 months ago.
Ann Manza-Geerts I am having the same question. The Pardot URL field does not get synched, nor is there a way to synch this from Pardot as there is no such field on the prospect record.
I would create a formula field myself but for that we need the Pardot ID and we have the same issue: no way to synch the Pardot ID into a Salesforce field.

Capturing this data is critical in order to assess the value of your marketing campaign and is a lead management best practice. Marketers use this to be able to track the traffic from a variety of sources such as email, social media, banner ads, etc.
The tags can be sent back to Google Analytics and tracked which can be used to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and identify the best ways to drive more visitors to your website. The first thing you need to do is create 2 new fields in Salesforce and in Pardot and map them. Next, add the fields to your Pardot form.
All 3 fields should be hidden and not marked as required. This piece of code will parse the URL parameters and put the values into the hidden fields within your form. This code can be placed within your landing page template or within your form in the below form section.
